Tweets Galore

I added a new service to the blog that should be hitting all of you in roughly two hours time and should hit you every night at midnight for the foreseeable future. If you don't like it I'm sorry. And if you follow me on Twitter already then you can have a second dose of my blathering at no extra cost to you, the reader!

Sir, have you been Tweeting this evening?

After evaluating the Twitter pages of a few funnymen I have come to the conclusion that I Tweet a little too erratically and use it like an instant messenger (which believe it or not existed before Twitter! I know!). So I have decided to cut back on the Tweets and make them a bit more comprehensive (as comprehensive as one can be in 140 characters) and with some substance to them. Of course I can not be beholden to this statement, because if I was then that would allow you to call me a liar in a couple days time when I Twitter about how I hate broomball. But just act like I mean what I say.

Carry on!

Twitter me this.

So my check bounced today. Not just any old check, but a check from the City of Boston. A payroll check for close to $200. I was kind of counting on that money, money that I was given counter credit for. So what I'm really saying is is that this is not cool. Because I no longer work at the BRA this is going to cause me to call my boss on Monday and ask her to help me deal with this instead of me emailing HR from my office email which would have been much easier. Also I was expecting another $200 check to come in tomorrow which now I will be worried it will bounce.

I mean how does the City of Boston using Paychex bounce a fucking check? How is that possible? I mean I know I was the lowest of the low in my department and if anyone is going to miss out on money it's going to be the kid who USED to work there, but come on.

Sorry I just couldn't adequately describe my frustration in a Tweet.

I Think I Like Twitter

I finally gave in and tried Twitter out the other day (probably the reason why I have started blogging again) and I think I may like it. Beyond the egotistical want to have people look at something you write (of which I am incredibly guilty) I like the idea that I have a way to put my thoughts down and then in the future come back to them and look at them (and maybe expand it into a blog post). Yes I could keep a journal, yes I could simply just hand write things out, but there is something about the sharing with others and the chance that someone may comment on my thoughts and in turn create another thought (i know two thoughts!).

Anyway I may end up hating Twitter for some unknown reason in the future but as of right now its a good way to just get ideas out and expand my mind. We shall revisit this later I am sure.
